Activity Therapy

Activity therapy is the use of adventure-based activities to provide people with behavioral problems or alcohol or drug dependency to realise a renewed self esteem and lead to positive change in their lives.

‘Adventure Training’ has been used by the military for many years as a way of replicating exciting, challenging and stimulating situations in a controlled environment; these same challenging situations lend themselves perfectly to the aims and objectives of many of today’s rehabilitation and abstinence programs as well as PRU's.

team Building

Activities are available as single days, weeklong courses or modules designed to fit in with your centres’ current rehabilitation programme.  These activities can function as exciting rewards for achievements within your existing programmes or we can construct personal development modules with the aim of achieving nationally recognised certification that could lead onto further professional qualifications, continued success in abstinence, and employment as well as complimenting the aims and objectives of your centres’ rehabilitation ethos.

All activities undertaken with Outlook Adventure present the following challenges and in overcoming these challenges have at their core the following aims and objectives:

Go to Activities to get more information on the wide variety of challenging pursuits we offer.  We can also put together packages such as trips to North Wales giving the opportunity for the group to experience a different activity each day; high esteem activities such as climbing mountains like Snowdon, white water rafting or mountain biking whilst still continuing to develop life skills by being involved in the planning and logistics of the trip and staying in a self catered bunkhouse.
